St. Patrick's Day is rolling around again and as we celebrated the up-coming special day we had Murphys galore! We had Murphys in the orchestra, a Murphy directing the group, and several more in the audience. Mr. Ray Murphy and Mrs. Carolyn Murphy, owners of Andrews of Stratford were there to help us all celebrate. Mr Murphy spoke at length about the day and some family history, and praised the residents as well as our group for participating. Ray also provided some timely humour to add to the colour of the day. Sharon and Karen had things in order as always and served delicious St. Patrick's cookies as well as green beer, wine and drinks for everyone. We were all very happy to enjoy the directing today by Kelly Murphy Galloway. Today saw the largest group of Andrews Residents that SMUG had ever encountered. The residents joined in singing the familiar Irish songs for about an hour in a sea of green! Thanks to Sharon for being our photographer for the day.
