WINESING DOES THE GARDEN HOME

WineSing did a performance on this beautiful May day at The Garden Home. An hour performance of the golden oldies saw everyone joining in song as we went though 30 or 40 older selections. A good time was had by all and we are most appreciative to Andrea Boudreau, the Activity Director for her kind invitation. WineSing was under the direction of Ann Campbell who lent her charm to the warm audience as the hour progressed.

Sorry But I couldn't get the movie I took of "Over the Rainbow"to download, but it was an evening full of appreciation. Appreciation for our wonderful singing and playing, appreciation to those who were able to be there to help us perform, and for treating all who were present to Darlene's Birthday cake. Happy Birthday Darlene from all of us at SMUG.

HAPPY ST PATRICK'S DAY EVERYONE

And we did it again......this time on the very day of the wearin' of the Green. A very Happy St.Patrick to all of you Irish and Irish affiliates. I never felt more Irish than today.We played songs some of us had never heard before and we got applause!!!

ST. PATRICK'S PREVIEW PERFORMANCE

St. Patrick's Day got celebrated early at The Mount today, and many enthusiastic Irishmen and Irishwomen as well as the regular types who pretended to be Irish for the day joined in singing the Irish tunes and did some dancing as well. The Mount dining room was filled to capacity before our performance was finished and so many great comments afterwards that would warm your heart.. It was enough to want to take the group back again before the year is over.Thanks must go to Audrey Morris who put the program together and to Kelly Galloway who whipped us into shape for several Saturday rehearsals. On the official St. Patrick's Day we will give it another try.A new experience for sure.

OUR PRESIDENT'S VERY SPECIAL BIRTHDAY

Tomorrow, Feb 17 is our president's very, very special,birthday......some of us had a party with him, tonight.....it went very,very well.....good time had by all....sang and played for almost three hours......thanks for being such a good sport. 57 eh? Some of us maybe know better. It is a very, very, special one....a 3/4 century one.....congratulations to both you and Marie.

SOBEY'S TO THE RESCUE

Thanks to Kelly we were able to acquire Sobey's Community Room in Stratford yesterday for a run-thru of our St. Patrick's Program.....a challenge indeed, so much so that more changes have taken place for next week which we all hope will provide better weather to be able to return to our home base. Sobey's was the perfect spot for us yesterday but hardly room if 20 or more had showed up. We didn't take a break yesterday or have snacks as it is against their policy unless we were to purchase from them, which we could arrange for another time.
