ANDREW'S STRUMMERS INVADE ANDREWS OF CHARLOTTETOWN

The ANDREWS STRUMMERS were privileged yesterday to play for an official opening of the beautiful new building at ANDREWS OF CHARLOTTETOWN. The "NEW BEGINNINGS" concert featured the group along with what we will call"Ukulele Friends" who like to come and support this wonderful ensemble of devoted members of ANDREWS OF STRATFORD. We were hosted for the afternoon by the owners, Keith and Carolyn O'Neill, along with Sarah and Sharon, who are most familiar to those of us from Stratford. Keith officially welcomed us before we began our concert, and he and David joined us for some selections on the ukulele. MARTINA interspersed the program with her wonderful readings and stories, and we finished up with a SPECIAL CAKE for the occasion ans well as the traditional afternoon tea. The concert was very well attended by the residents in the new dining room, who joined us in singing along to most of our selections. Kind words of praise for the group were enjoyed following, as many made their way to congratulate the STRUMMERS for their wonderful concert. Many of the residents were known to many of us, and one long-time resident, AMBIE GAUTHIER, would have loved to be playing with us. AMBIE was waiting at the door to say goodbye as we left the residence later in the afternoon, to tell us how much he enjoyed us being there.
