SMUG LOOKIN' HAPPY

On The Front Steps with Lynda Sharp and Rev. Boyd Drake
The last Sunday of July and SMUG repeated last year's appearance at St. Andrews United Church in Vernon Bridge. The Reverend Boyd Drake conducted the service and made both the congregation and SMUG feel welcome and at home. Perhaps the highlight of our day was the privilege of having the organist and choir director, Lynda Sharpe, join us on the piano. CAN SHE EVER PLAY! So much so that we had a hard time keeping Smuggers singing as they wanted to listen to Lynda play. With so many missing this time of year it really adds dimension to the group to have the addition of a piano. After we played our eight numbers and three rocking hymns, Lynda informed us she had booked us  for the same time next year. In finishing the service with our AMEN/THIS LITTLE LIGHT OF MINE, the choir, who were sitting in the front rows to help us out, joined in clapping and singing along......very rewarding for us indeed. Our thanks to Lynda and Rev. Boyd for having us back to St. Andrews and for asking us to return again(that's always a caveat). A very enjoyable experience for SMUG and we think the congregation enjoyed somewhat of a change in format as well.
